Figure Account Allocations

One of the most important keys to successfully trading our system is to make sure that your account is allocated properly. No matter the size of your account, if you have it allocated properly, you should be able to obtain similar results to our Track Record.

Regardless of the trading strategy that you are using, it is important to keep some of your funds in a cash reserve. Our system is no different. By doing this, you will have funds available for any type of trading adjustments or position management trades. We try not to use these extra funds, but sometimes it is necessary.

Below are the allocations that we suggest for our two types of memberships. However, you are always in total control of your own account and it is up to you to make your own decisions with your own financial situation in mind. After all, we are not financial advisors and do not know your own personal situation.

 Regular Membership
  • This membership is set up to maintain 5 to 6 spreads per month.
  • A good rule of thumb is to allocate 10-12% per spread.
 Professional Trader Membership
  • This membership is set up to maintain 10 to15 spreads per month.
  • This is based on an account with $100,000.
  • We suggest setting your allocation to “Service Recommendation” if auto trading. If not, you will want to trade the same number of contracts that we do in the trade alerts (if your account is $100,000).

To figure the amount that your broker will require you to have in your account before placing a spread, you can read “Figure Margin & Maintenance” on the “Resources” page. This will walk you through the process of determining the cost of one contract in a spread. Then you can use the information to determine how many contracts you should be trading in each spread.

As long as you are able to have your account allocated properly, you should be able to achieve similar results to our Track Record. It’s important to do this even if you have to cut down on the number of contracts that you are trading each month. As your account grows, all you need to do is add contracts to each spread.
